I've been selling BPM software for the last 7 years & still going strong. The BPM space has changed significantly since I first started. I was first amazed at workflow automation and the way it was able to move work among people. Next, having BPM software do tasks normally done by people significantly reduced the time to took to complete processes. Recently, orchestrating processes among people and applications was the rage.

Today, there are even better BPM platforms that can respond to the ways people actually do their jobs. Process maps and definitions, rules, etc. all look great but if BPM suites don't support the way people REALLY work (in their own technical/architectural environment ) everything falls apart.

This website is based on BPM 2.0ish technologies. BPM technology has progressed to a point where we can now personalize our own task lists, collaborate among whoever we need to help do our jobs, revise processes based on our own, individual needs or even build and publish our own processes with very little or no IT development help. This is all going to take some getting used to but I'm confident that we keep getting better at being able to work WITH each other the way we choose to work. Not the way software applications force us work.

And its going to keep getting better.....
